The Intertidal Series

The Intertidal Series, a marine conservation series by Canadian artist Kathryn Beals

 the Intertidal Series

Kathryn will be releasing a series of art celebrating the intertidal zone and the importance of marine conservation. This series will include 3D paintings of tidepools and marine life as well as some new originals in acrylic on canvas.

During the creation of this series, Kathryn and her kids will document their beach cleanups on Instagram and will make one large tidepool art piece out of beach trash.

Partial proceeds from this series will be donated to Pacific Wild, a BC conservation nonprofit who is fighting for the establishment of Marine Protected Areas. The Intertidal series will be released in 2022 and will include wall art, jewelry, functional art and prints.

This series is the companion series to the Kelp Forest series, also coming out in 2022. The intertidal series is the follow up to Things We Found In the Creek, our family’s early pandemic project highlighting the importance of urban green spaces.
