1) Octopus Acacia Dice Box

This custom dice box for D&D or other tabletop games was made in Kathryn's workshop from an upcycled acacia cutting board.  The front features one of her octopus designs, carved and inlaid with a mixture of resin and crushed local mussel shells.  The inside features hand-burned octopus tentacles.  The box separates into two halves, held together by four magnets.  The inside features six hexagonal recesses to store dice, a velvet-lined surface for rolling into, and a pencil.  Folded together, the box measures approximately 6” square by 0.75” deep.   Set includes the box, dice and pencil.

Item 2 - Ocean Cribbage Board

This is a one of a kind ocean cribbage board set, made from scrap wood in Kathryn’s workshop.  The cribbage board surface has been decorated with a northern dark ocean design in resin, and honed to a scratch resistant satin finish.  A magnetic recess holds the pegs in the back.  The board measures approximately 12.75” x 4.5”.  The set includes a deck of cards printed with one of the artist’s ocean paintings.  See other functional art here.

Item 3 - Humpback Pie Plate

This is a collaboration of Kathryn x Catherine, two BC artists with the same name who both love humpbacks.  This pie plate is thrown in stoneware clay by potter Catherine Epps, and hand-carved by Kathryn Beals.  This stoneware clay, oven safe dish is painted in grey-blue underglaze and measures approximately 10.5” wide by 1.5” high.  See other collaboration pottery here.

Item 4 - Ocean Canvas Print

This is a hand-embellished canvas print of Kathryn’s painting Secret Garden, inspired by Vancouver Island.  The print measures 16”x 20” and is hand retouched and signed by the artist.  Printed in Canada.  Shop other prints here.
