The story Behind Fluid Landscapes
At 23, after finishing forestry school, I was a graduate student in California. I was homesick in the new climate, and struggling in a career path I wasn’t sure was right for me. While analyzing PCR data in a genetics lab, I wistfully imagined the data peaks as a treeline against the night sky, an abstract idea that later inspired my signature style, Fluid Landscapes.
My unusual career path begins and ends with a love for the forest, and I want my paintings to convey the beauty of forests and why we need to protect them. Thank you for helping us raise over $50K for conservation and other nonprofits.
