Print Types

Information about paper prints and canvas prints by Kathryn Beals.

Print Types

Prints are available in a variety of formats. Paper prints are more economical and easier to ship, but usually need a frame.  Canvas prints look similar to original paintings and can be hung unframed or framed.

Paper prints are printed by a small company in Santa Cruz, CA. and are shipped flat or rolled, depending on size.  These prints are printed on archival quality photo paper, suitable for framing.

This is a canvas print in front of the original painting.  Canvas prints look very similar to the originals, and are made the same way as blank canvases; with canvas fabric stretched around a wooden frame. Mine have wrapped edges for a finished look.  These are made by a small local company in Santa Ana, CA.

Two different depths

My canvas prints come in the thicker depth (1.5", on the right) by default, but if you prefer you can request the thinner depth. (0.75")

Wrapped Edges

Canvas prints ship with hanging hardware attached, and are ready to hang out of the box.

Print and Original

Can you tell which is which?

Framed Canvas Prints

Framed canvas prints are available with black frames as the default option, but there are more colors available - just message us with your custom request.

Maple Wood Prints

Images printed on maplewood for a clean, natural look. A keyhole back helps your print float from the wall.

Signing Prints

Prints are made to order, so hand signed prints are not available at this time while Kathryn is in Canada.
