Compare Box Sizes

Kathryn has three sizes of round acacia boxes; small, medium divided, and large. All boxes are made with food safe, sustainable materials, and are branded on the back with Kathryn’s custom logo.

Small Round Box

The small box measures approximately 4” round, and 4” high on the outside dimensions. It has a fully removable wood and resin lid which is snug but not airtight. It ships in a recyclable box with compostable paper shred and a care card.

Divided Salt Box

The divided medium box measures approximately 6” round and 3” high on the outside dimensions. It has a non-removable swivel lid that is held in place with a small magnet. The lid swivels open to reveal two carved compartments inside. It ships in a recyclable box with compostable paper shred and a care card

Note: In the photo on the right below, you can compare this new larger style to Kathryn’s original acacia salt boxes, which are much smaller and lighter. The small divided size is now discontinued, but you may find a few of them still in the store.

Large Round Box

The large round box is the same height as the small, measures approximately 6” round, and 4” high on the outside dimensions. It has a fully removable wood and resin lid which is snug but not fully airtight. It ships in a recyclable box with compostable paper shred and a care card.

Care instructions for acacia and resin functional art: Wipe clean with a damp cloth, and condition small scuffs in the wood with mineral or butcher block oil. It’s ok to take them outside or rinse briefly under the tap, but do not store them outdoors or in damp conditions. The wood finish and resin surfaces are food safe, but they’re not recommended for liquids or immersion in water. The resin box top can be cleaned with glass cleaner or 70% isopropyl alcohol if needed.
