All About Resin
Caring for your Resin Art
Your artwork has been finished with Art Resin, a nontoxic resin. It’s BPA free and approved for incidental food contact by the FDA. As with any wood serving bowl or tray, we don’t recommend serving hot liquids in it, immersing it in hot water or running it through the dishwasher, but it’s fine to put cheeses, candy etc. on the resin surface, or set a hot coffee cup on a tray. You can read more about it at artresin.com.
The surface of your tray or painting can be cleaned with glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol; or with mild dish soap and water if you’re using it to serve food. In general, you can treat it like glass. However, if you are moving your resin art, do not use bubble wrap or other plastics against the resin surface - butcher paper or glassine paper is the safest way to wrap it.
The resin surface is very durable, and I hope you will enjoy it for many years! I used it to refinish my kitchen table, and it has held up well to daily use by my three small children. Please contact me with any questions.
