Why is it in the Garage Sale?

From Kathryn:

This is part of my Catherine x Kathryn collaboration, and Catherine did a beautiful job of throwing the bowl, but it came out with some minor imperfections because I applied the underglaze too thick, in my zeal to make the perfect monarch. My too-thick underglaze application caused some little cosmetic pinholes in the black areas that look like tiny bubbles. There is also a small, cosmetic crack in the rim which resulted from the stress of handling and painting a complicated design onto delicate greenware. It doesn’t go through to the other side, and was well stabilized by the glaze, so the crack is a cosmetic line only that will not spread or open up. The pie plate is beautiful, functional and food safe, though you might want to use it more for a display bowl so it’s easier to clean.
