My kids have grown up helping with our small business, and they’ve begun creating works of their own, which they have asked me to list on their behalf for starting their first bank accounts. I’m proud of their work ethic and creativity!

This is an original 10”x10” acrylic painting on canvas. It has been signed on the back by the artist, my 5 year old daughter. It has been finished with a protective UV spray gloss.

My daughter is a fourth generation female painter - her great grandmother, grandmother and mom were all painters, and we’re excited to watch her work develop. I sold my first artwork at age 13, and I’d love to see what she does with her gift.

These paintings were created entirely by my kids with no help from Mom. My daughter likes to help herself to my paints, chooses her own colors, mixes and pours them herself. I oversee the finishing and packaging but I try to have them do as much of that as possible too, to learn about all the aspects of running a small business. If your piece looks like it was wrapped by a five year old, it was!
