Kathryn made this piece with natural mussel shells. collected empty from local beaches. Mussels are a food of the octopus. The edges are made with reclaimed wood collected from the island.
This one of a kind original measures 18” x 24” . It has been stamped on the back by the artist’s custom aspen leaf stamp.
This painting is unframed, but hanging hardware is attached and the edges are finished to match (see photos) so you can hang it as is, or add a frame that suits your decor. This piece is delicate due to the fragile mussel shells - extra pieces will be included in case repairs are needed.
