About the Tidepool Paintings

After seeing tidepools on Vancouver Island, Kathryn made a small series of paintings honouring anemones, the beautiful and resilient creatures of the intertidal zone.

About This Piece

This is a one of a kind original painting made with clay, sand, repurposed materials, paint and resin on a cradled wood panel. The panel measures 16” x 16” by approximately 1.5” deep, including the wood edges.

Hanging hardware is attached, and the painting is ready to hang.

Cleaning instructions: The resin areas can be cleaned with glass cleaner.

The edges are stained to a rustic finish with natural hardwax oils, and the surface is covered in a layer of clear resin.

This is a handmade piece of art, and all handmade pieces will have small flaws or cosmetic defects in the paint, or irregularities in the wood. Check photos carefully and message us for any clarifications.
