Repurpose Sunflower Mosaic

$795.00

Kathryn’s first mosaic style piece was inspired by the beautiful mosaic art in Costa Rica, as well as their commitment to reusing materials and reducing waste.

Kathryn made this piece by hand cutting the dried acrylic paint drips from her first year in the new studio, and applying them piece by piece as a collage style mosaic to a repurposed cradled wood board. It has been sealed in a glossy coat of varnish to preserve the texture.

This piece of artwork measures 18” x 18” on a 1.5” cradled wood board. The edges are painted black and hanging hardware is attached. It’s ready to hang for a minimalist look, but you can also add a floater frame for an additional charge. Shipping Included.

10% of sales from the Repurpose series will be donated to support wildlife conservation in Costa Rica. Thank you for helping us raise over $30K for nonprofits since 2017.

About the Repurpose Series

This series was made to celebrate Earth Day, and Kathryn’s first try at mosaic style collage art, repurposing the accumulated paint drips, old aprons and other art materials from her first year in the new studio.

Read about shipping policies here, or learn about the art benefits and the nonprofits we support.   You can also watch Kathryn’s fundraiser mini course, Sustainable Fluid Art, to learn ways to reduce waste in the fluid art studio. 100% of profits from this course will be donated to conservation nonprofits.
