Octopus Mussel Shell Pendants
Made from Empty Mussel Shells
These pendants are made with the ground up empty mussel shells that wash up abundantly on our beaches, mixed with the leftover drops of resin from Kathryn’s paintings. This style is embellished with an intricate silver Octopus in one of Kathryn’s signature designs.
These pendants are an updated, heavier style than last year’s pendants. They are mounted on a nickel-free backing and come with an 18” sterling silver box chain.
The pendants are packaged with a chain inside a black gift box, with a description card. They measure approximately 1” across - see photos for all jewelry together for scale.
These are handmade pieces of jewelry from recycled materials, so all pieces will have small bumps, distortions, bubbles, scratches and variations in thickness or color - they’re one of a kind. The pieces pictured are examples but no two are the same.
About the Repurpose Series
The Repurpose series was made to celebrate Earth Day, repurposing the accumulated paint drips and used aprons from a year in Kathryn’s studio. Each piece is functional, unique and has an interesting story.
