Repurpose Round Box, Blue Mosaic

$150.00

About this Piece

This round lidded box is made using sustainable acacia wood, measuring 6" round by 4" high. The design on the removable lid is made using cut up strips of Kathryn’s older paintings on canvas. The resin lid is honed to a smooth satin finish, which resists glare and scratching.

This solid wood box has been stamped on the back with the artist's custom brand. See this page and photo for size comparison to Kathryn’s other round boxes. The acacia box lid has been coated with food safe resin. The lid is snug but not airtight, and is fully removable.

Care and Packaging

This round box ships with a ribbon and care information.

Cleaning instructions: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. The resin area can be cleaned with glass cleaner or soap and water. Condition the wood by wiping with mineral oil and a soft cloth. Not recommended for storing liquids, immersion in water, or prolonged outdoor use.

This is a handmade piece of art on natural wood, and all handmade pieces will have small cosmetic bubbles or defects in the resin, or irregularities in the wood. Check photos carefully and message us for any clarifications.

About the Repurpose Series

Kathryn’s annual series was made to celebrate Earth Day and a year’s worth of learning, repurposing the accumulated paint drips from a year in the studio.

The Repurpose mosaics are created with the leftover drips of paint and strips of canvas from Kathryn’s artwork. Each one is unique, and uses up materials that would otherwise be wasted.
