255 Gold Oak Acacia and Resin Tray

$265.00
Sold

This is a one of a kind tree of life painting in acrylic and resin on a solid round wood tray. There is subtle glitter in the resin to make it look like polished stone. The tree design is made by hand with composite gold leaf.

*This painting features an interesting cosmetic defect, noted in photos, that became part of the design. A small crack in the wood allowed the wet resin to seep through, creating a blue mark on the back as if made by the roots of the tree. Rather than throw the tray away, Kathryn polished the crack and made it part of the design. Cured resin is stronger than wood, so the tray will function as well as usual, but it’s an interesting detail that shows a glimpse into the process.

The acacia tray measures 15" round by 2" high. The tray is packaged with ribbon and a care instruction card. It has been stamped on the back with the artist's custom wood burning brand.

Cleaning instructions: Wipe clean with a damp cloth. The flat resin tray top can be cleaned with glass cleaner or alcohol. The wood can be conditioned with mineral oil.

The tray has been finished with food safe resin, and can be used as a serving tray or decorative tray. Not recommended for hot foods, prolonged outdoor use or immersion in water.

This item ships from British Columbia. Prices are in US dollars.
