Singularity is a mixed media landscape painting series celebrating astrophysics and black holes.  A gravitational singularity is a point in space where the gravitational field approaches infinity, pulling in everything including light.

This painting is named to honor Ada Lovelace (b. 1815)

Ada was a gifted mathematician, and pioneered written instructions for the first computer program in the mid 1800s.  She is considered history’s first computer programmer.

This is a one of a kind original painting in resin and metal leaf on cradled birch with 1.5” depth. It measures 18" x 18”.  It has been signed and stamped on the back with the artist’s custom aspen leaf stamp.

A former forester and scientist, Kathryn’s Fluid Landscape paintings incorporate her love of trees and the night sky.  Kathryn developed her Aura resin technique to paint the visual disturbances from her classic migraines. Kathryn is a third generation female painter, and all the women artists in Kathryn’s family experience classic migraines with aura.

This is a surreal landscape painting finished with metal leaf and resin in Kathryn’s signature fluid landscapes style. The sky was created with a resin pour in her proprietary Aura methodNo prints will be made of this series, and the paintings are exclusive and one of a kind.

There is subtle glitter in the resin to give the painting more dimension and make it look like polished stone.  Resin art can be cleaned easily with glass cleaner.
