This is an original landscape painting of an oak tree, in composite gold leaf and resin in Kathryn’s signature fluid landscapes style. The sky was created with a fluid acrylic paint pour and resin layering. There is subtle glitter in the resin to give the painting more dimension and make it look like polished stone. Kathryn used to study the Coast Live Oak, in her time as a forest researcher.
This painting measures 24" x 36" on cradled birch panel, with a 1.5” depth. The edges are painted to match. It has been stamped on the back by the artist’s custom aspen leaf stamp. This piece features texture and a lot of metallic details and sparkle.
