Round Acacia Trays

Abstract paintings by artist Kathryn Beals in acrylic and resin on round acacia wood serving trays.

Garnet and Gold Nautilus Tray 158

Garnet and Gold Nautilus Tray 158

$265.00

This is a one of a kind painting in acrylic and resin on a solid round acacia tray.  It has hand applied composite gold leaf under two coats of resin in the silhouette of a nautilus. The background is a deep garnet/purple, with subtle sparkle in it to make it look like polished stone.

This nautilus piece celebrates the Fibonacci series, a mathematical set where each number is the sum of the preceding two; 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and so on for infinity - also known as the Golden Ratio, and expressed as irrational number phi.

The Fibonacci series is found immaculately in nature, from the spirals of the nautilus shell to seed heads, pinecones, flowers and branches, up to hurricanes and spiral galaxies.

The acacia tray measures 15" round by 2" high. It has been stamped on the back with the artist's custom wood burning brand.

The tray has been finished with food safe resin, and can be used as a serving tray.

Cleaning instructions: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.  The flat resin tray top can be cleaned with glass cleaner or alcohol.  Read more about resin care here.
