About Tidepool Paintings

After seeing tidepools on Vancouver Island, Kathryn made these layered clay and resin paintings honouring anemones, the beautiful and resilient creatures of the intertidal zone.

About This Piece

This is a one of a kind original painting made with clay, sand, repurposed materials, paint and resin on a cradled wood panel. The panel measures 12” x 12” by approximately 0.8” deep, including the wood edges.This painting does not include any shells or sea life, although it looks very real in person!

Hanging hardware is attached, and the painting is ready to hang.

Cleaning instructions: The resin areas can be cleaned with glass cleaner. The mixed media clay areas can be dusted gently with compressed air or a soft cloth.

The edges are painted black for a clean, minimal look, and the front wood border is stained to a rustic finish with natural hardwax oils.

This is a handmade piece of art, and all handmade pieces will have small flaws or cosmetic defects in the paint, or irregularities in the wood. Check photos carefully and message us for any clarifications.
