Aurora Borealis with Copper Trees - 22x22 Fluid Landscape
Aurora Borealis with Copper Trees - 22x22 Fluid Landscape
My largest fluid landscape to date, this acrylic, copper and resin painting was inspired by northern lights and boreal forests in Canada. This layered mixed media piece was created in many stages using acrylic paints, genuine copper leaf and food safe resin. There are three colors of subtle glitter in the resin and the painting has a very luminous, dimensional look that is hard to capture in the photographs.
This piece is finished in the same manner as my trays or as the upcycled kitchen tabletop that I use in my home every day with my 3 small children - the surface is very durable! The Art Resin surface can be cleaned with glass cleaner.
The wood and fiberboard panel measures approximately 22” square and 2” deep, and weighs about 7 lbs with hanging hardware attached. The piece comes unframed with finished edges and ready to hang, but you can add a frame if you prefer. Sturdy d-rings are attached on the back at all four corners.
These are original, one of a kind handmade paintings and may have small bubbles, distortions or defects in the resin. Check pictures and contact me with any questions.
